Recover Colorado Grant

Eligibility Requirements

  • The applicant must be a business, nonprofit organization, or a micro-enterprise that was directly or indirectly affected by the 2013 floods
  • The applicant must be located in Weld County
  • At least 51% of the persons being trained must have a Low to Moderate Income
  • 100% of the persons being trained must be a primary resident in one of the disaster declared counties

How to Apply

  • To apply, visit www.choosecolorado.com/rcwtp
  • Register your contact information on the website portal
  • Respond to the three questions
  • Choose Aims Community College as your representative
  • After completing the steps above, click on the "Submit" button. You will be contacted by an Aims Community College representative

Additional Program Elements

  • Eligible activities are limited to Workforce Development Training
  • There is an emphasis on workers in the construction related trades
  • Training may consist of customized group training or individual on the job training, but the funds cannot be used for new employee orientation
  • The maximum grant award is $75,000, but each company can have up to 3 awards
  • Each employee trained cannot receive more than 3 separate trainings
  • Applications will be accepted and awarded on a continuous basis until funding is exhausted
  • Funding cannot be used to pay trainee wages, travel or materials costs unrelated to the training, capital improvements or costs incurred prior to the approval date
  • The award cannot cover expenses of more than a period of 3 months of on the job or apprenticeship per individual trainee
  • Training must occur within 6 months of the award date
